Welcome friends.

Today we will be taking a moment to discuss one of lifes little lessons.  Today we will be focusing on homerepair.  More percisly, installing  a fence lock and latch.....and then what not to do.

Step 1:  Remove all contents from package( this eases installion)

Step 2:  FInd a place you want to install both  hook and strike plate onto fence and fence post.

Step 3:  Mark the plates hole locations with a pencil.

Step 4:  Screw strikeplate onto fence and hook onto fence post.

Step 5:  Check for closer and fit.

Step 6:  Install strong Masterlock.

and now here is the inportant part

Leave it alone!!  DO not decide to test out the latch by rocking the fence.

Do not test  by seeing how strong the screws are by pushing or pulling of any kind.

Because if you do...eventually you will find its breaking point.  ANd then you will have to start all over again and install another %&$Damn latch.

Just don't screw it up this time...

yeah, the durability test can be the undoing of any good home repair project. This is most often true when showing your friend "how strong this thing is".  SNAP.

You left out the step where you lose half the shit from the package and have to rummage around the garage for half an hour for "replacement" parts.

Whats the fucking point of putting a Master lock on a fence that can be broken open by a three year old anyhow? For looks?

You see folks?  This is what happens when you finally come into money.  All of a sudden, concertina wire "isn't good enough for you" anymore.
