Wis. Man Finds Few Jobs As Electrician, Takes Nail Technician's Course


PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. -- A Wisconsin man has put aside his career as an electrician to do nails.

Marvin Bayless is a former journeyman electrician who says there just weren't any construction projects, so he had to try his hand at a new trade.

He took the nail technician's course at a local community college and now operates his own mobile nail salon, working out of an RV.  

Bayless told The Journal Times of Racine, Wis., that giving manicures pays a lot more than running wire.

But what about the yucky part, like clipping toenails?

Bayless said it's not as bad as some of the places, such as a sewage treatment plant -- that he's worked as an electrician.
