I would have probably died under in the same situation. I would NOT have gone alone however.
I can't imagine ANYONE living in a rural area near the border that wouldn't be pakcking heavy and have some more serious firepower nearby. |

My wife and I are going to be taking a trip in January, some of it right near the border in TX. I had intended to carry just my .45, now I'm wondering if I should take my M1 as well. |

Considering we are on the subject already, what [b]would[/b] be the ideal rifle to engage [i]Los Mexicanos[/i] that are coming across the border to steal, rape, maim, kidnap, and kill?
Someone mentioned an M1 Garand. I can think of alot worse than that, especially given the open terrain down there. M1A? FAL? Remington 700? If I was in that situation, I'd think I'd want something in the .30 caliber range. |

GOD DAMN IT! Who the fuck is in charge down there along the border? Why in the hell are those assholes allowed to run around our country armed and kidnapping our citizens? I'd use armed troops...maybe the NG/Reserves. Shit, they are going into Indian country...why not our own borders? I'd revise the ROE so that just the slightest act would be grounds to waste every living thing. Then...I'd put the dead fucks on parade like they did in the Old West and tell the Mexicans they can have them back for burial when they make reparations.
Its time to revise the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo...IN OUR FAVOR! As to what weapon to use? Whatever I could grab quickly...probably my AR because of the ACOG and it's capabilities at night. I have asked him about it and he has said there is no hard eveidance of this, but there is a particular area where they are said to be. I'm not inclined to believe that there is a large force of chinese soldiers near our souther border. But I wouldn't dismiss it either. I have been told that there are some people who are trying to prove it is true. I'll share what info I get about it as i get it. I'm all for retaliation against acts of terrorism against American citizens.
I'm all for "securing" our borders against illegal aliens. HOWEVER, do you really want the government or any newly formed government agency in charge of this? I just don't want to hear the same people who are bitching about our "open borders" bitching about how they had to show papers and submit to a strip search while returning to the USA after a weekend trip to Cabo San Lucas. I would have called 911 and payed close attention to the appearance of the attackers so I could make a good report to the police when they arrived to handle the situation. I am not highly trained enough to handle a situation like the police. I would never attempt to use a gun because the attackers would most likey just use it against me. God forbid if I actually killed one of my attackers I would be traumatized for life for what I had done. Those people have families too. I would be extra submissive so as not to give them a reason to cause me further harm. They can take anything they want, as it is replaceable. [rolleyes]
This is what I am supposed to do as the vicitm of a crime in Maryland. This is really what liberals think we should do. This is what Hitlery Clinton would have us do. At least according to those that don't think we should secure our borders. There was a big stink made about Civil Homeland Defense(based in Tombstone, AZ) when they started. It was funny to me reading the news articals and all the quotes from people callingthe members racist. One of the first members of the group is a Mexican imigrant. He did it the legal and proper way. It's funny to me how a lot of these groups are labled as racist yet there are lots of members of these groups who either legaly immigrated to the US or their family did and they were born here. But they all believe in the same thing. If you want to come to America for a better life, fine, just do it the right way. You do have to watch some of these groups though. I know Ive seen a bit as of late about RR running with the Christian Identity Movement guys who are a known racist group and that does hurt credibility, I really wish the RR would end that affiliation as I for one won't give them money because of that affiliation. Our government needs to do something about this shit before bodies start hitting the sands. |
