Where did you go? Toward the end, a little crazy. I've been needing to ask a couple questions and do some research on float tubes since last Monday. After flailing about on other gunboards and the net in general, I decided if this site stayed down, I would remain ignorant. |

Full-auto and pre-ban. While I enjoyed the forums and their hospitality, pre-ban made me realize the need for mods. Far too many trolls, nazi-trash, & racist scum for my taste.

Amen to [b]everything[/b] you say here, although both had some good points, like the "Nigerian email convention" thread on full-auto. Now that was funny... In the meantime, I did find that I spent less time on the Net.... got a lot of projects done, spent more time with the kids (as if I don't spend enough time with them already.... [;)] I didn't do any shooting, though- weather's been bad. I am doing a lot of volunteer work, time and weather permitting, than I did before. I'm glad to be back! the other places were OK, the hosts were gracious, but from the tone of the posts (and the posters) the general air over there made me still feel like a stranger. It really made me appreciate this place. What a great pre-Xmas present to find ARFCOM back and running[:D][beer][bounce][party] |

Towards the end I was looking alot like that psychopooch from hell... did register on PreBan and posted a couple of times, cleaned all my AR's, reorganized my ammo cans and got to shoot a bit more than usual... Funny, when it's gone you know how much you miss ARFcom... Living out in the weeds using a clanky dialup I have problems using ARFcom anyway most days... but some is mucho better than none... I think that it's time to go for that Gold Membership and help keep those hamsters in the server fed... [;)] It's nice to be home again. |
