You could also try iTunes, if you have MP3s and not WMA files.

Yeah, I highly recommend upgrading your CD-Writing software. Nero, as sgtar15 mentioned, is great...as is Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator. Check the warez sites. Hope that helps.

I use Roxio with very few problems.
There is this one cd, that I can't copy to save my life. It comes with it's own player that has to be installed just to listen to the cd. Can't even read the files without this player program imbedded on the cd, and if the player is installed and the disc is copied, the player will start the playback halfway through the burn, ruining the disc. |

Too bad, too, because that is a very good sight for any CD/DVD burning info. I have looked all over the damned place, and I have yet to find any reference to this type of problem. If the damn thing keeps pissing me off, though, I'll...never mind. |

First off, before you try new software; can you listen to audio CDs?
Do you have the latest firmware for your burner? Is the burn speed in the program set up to match you burners speed? |

Another for Nero. You can download and try it before you buy it.
Another great program for ripping and burning audio is Musicmatch. Again, a try before you buy option, but it's only around $20. Lastly, rather than killing your supply of CDRs, start testing with a CDR-W. I learned that lesson a LONG time ago. This is particularly useful in your situation where the burn is failing rather than the playback. Oh, and Roxio sucks ass. |

So, now, this company came out with CDs that will install their copy-protection program via AutoRun when you first put the disc in the drive. Once installed, you can't copy the CD. But, if you have AutoRun disabled, then, uh, guess what? Their software does not get installed, and you can copy the CD all you want. What title is it, BTW? -Troy |
