Hi and thanks for looking!
I just bought an 18" Golden Rod. Awesome little thing!!! Highly recommended!

Anyway, my question is: is it ok to have it lying on the bottom of the safe? I can't/don't want to drill holes into my safe wall, so I attached the mounting brakets, and set it at the bottom. Can that start a fire by touching the felt lining?

Also Is it safe to have your guns touching it?

Thank you!

I set mine on the floor, in the brackets. Been there close to a year and no problems yet. I don't let the guns touch it.

I have mine on the brackets sitting on the floor of the safe all the way in the back.

I try to keep a 1/2 inch between the stocks and the rod.

No problems at all.
