Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - CPU question, backing up to a removeable HD?

I need a fast and foolproof backup of my entire system in case of crash. I was considering getting a removeable hard drive and backing up my entire hard drive to it and then keeping the backup in a safe deposit box. Any suggestion? I only have about 20 gig to back up. I also have a DVD-RW but I can't seem to get it to cooperate with XP to backup the system.

Hard drive in an external USB 2.0 enclosure.

Thats's the way I do it.  Works good.
