On a PC?

Netscape, of course.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people instantly go from IE to whatever, completly ignoring Netscape...

Mainly because Netscape stinks…

Netscape is just Mozillia with a lot of useless garbage thrown in if you are have a problem with Mozillia you will probably have a problem with Netscape they are based on the same core.

Have you tried Mozillia Firebird it might work for you if not IE is your next best choice there are just some things on the net that IE handles better than anything else. Unfortunately at this point there is no one Internet browser that does everything well.

That is certainly true about no one browser doing everything.  But, the new Netscape seems pretty good.  I'm testing it right now because I really want to cut off IE.

The free Opera is great. The only add I get is when you first open it. Close the window and that's it. It's gone.

Isn't Netscape owned by AOL now? If anyone could screw up a browser, AOL could.

You mean like packaging IE with AOL and making it the default browser?

Netscape IS mozilla, with a different name and some added crap, and different default homepages.

That said, I haven't noticed any bug when saving files. Have you tried mozilla Firebird? It is supposed to be optimized for speed...

Firebird sucked for me, so I downloaded the 1.5 version and have been smooth sailing ever since.

It downloads fast, but then again, Im on cable.

Does 1.5 have the same security features as Firebird as far as trojans, spyware and hijacks?

I switched to Mozilla 1.? some time ago and have zero popups, etc. Just upgraded to 1.5 and have no problems, other that the occasional movie file not playing and instead coming up into a new page with odd text. I think it has the same protections as Firebird.

I believe it does have the same features.

I get no pop ups unless I authorize the site, and my spyware programs find nothing unless one of my kids opens Explorer.
