Been in this business for 18 years and what a friggin phenomena. The appliance repair industry goes apeshit the week before Thanksgiving. People have these double ovens or single ovens, they break down in March, April, Mat, etc and say, "oh well, I'll take care of it later" Until they realize "HOLY CRAP!!! Its a week before Thanksgiving and I have no OVEN!!!"

Now its MY F*CKING EMERGENCY??

I am booked solid until a week AFTER Thanksgiving and I dread these next three working days. Last minute customers calling in and all I can say is "Sorry, We are booked" and they get pissed!!! Needless to say my competitors are just as booked solid.

Never fails...every year, Thanksgiving eve I am out until 10 PM fixing ovens. Even had one manufacturer call me and said they were willing to pay me DOUBLE RATE to go to this customers house and push a little red reset switch.

Cant wait until my 4 days of bliss.

everybody runs out of propane on the coldest day of the year, which, oddly enough, always seems to be on a sunday.....................
