Michelle Tuzzi, a local newsperson (actually her recorded voice) just called me for a news survey.  It was fairly brief and simple.  Did I think Michael Jackson did what he was accused of and did I think Lee Harvey Osward acted alone or in conspiracy.  Then they asked my age.  No big deal.

Then they said something along the lines that some people might not want to answer the next one but are you Latino, Black, or White.  I thought it really shouldn't matter but elected to say I was Black.  Didn't MLK say it was the content of your character?

I'm not sure why I thought a "dishonest" answer was the best.  Guess I just thought an honest one would be manipulated, as would the decline to state.  Maybe I thought mine was "manipulating" them.  Did I fool myself?

What would you do.... (BTW it was all recorded and just required touch tone responses.)?

I always answer "African American" on every form, since the original peoples were from Africa, and we are all descended form them, and I am an AMerican...

Love the looks I get (I am 6"2', blond hair, blue eyes, pink skin .)

No one's testing for "gayness" or  being illegal, so I figure we can be whatever race we want.  Black Caucus here I come.
