Im sitting here watching the tube and that douche Conan comes on. First order of the day, lets make fun of the president. Of course this has been a trend for quite some time and I realize that these shows havent got enough smarts to come up with good comedy without this stuff. Does it piss anyone else off that these people make fun of our President? How can we expect other nations to respect us and our leaders if we are the first ones to make fun of them? Anyway, i always thought Conan was a goofy douchebag but come on man, every show is the same. Ok ok im done.

I think it is wrong.  Even when a socialist is running the country.

Actually I think SNL has some great Bush skits.

You guys need to loosen up a bit.

You need to learn to laugh at the ludicrous.

Don't loose sight of the big picture. A lot of good men have died to protect our right to make fun of our own president.

Does it piss me off sometimes? Sure! But I'd rather have it this way than to see JBT's dragging Conan or whoever off the stage to some secret torture chamber to make sure they don't make fun of the president again.

just my .02, nothing more...

Dude, making fun of the president is a moral imperative.  I've seen some hilarious Conan bits about the president.

I agree.No one supports "W" more than I do,It's just a sketch.

I like Will Farrel's skits the best. The one where he is impersonating Bush and talking about "The evil Demon Budweiser",Hilarious.

i like conan.  just wish he didn't have m.moore and al frankin on his show.  that shit pisses me off more than anything else.

letterman's 'dumb gw moment of the day' piece pisses me off more than conans little bits.

if all they can do is call him dumb i don't care.  it's better than joking about drunk driving(ted kennedy), sexual deviance(slick willie).  they don't have a whole lot to pin of bush so they have to call him dumb.[:\]

I think it's a safe bet to say every US President in history was mocked or joked about in some way.

I find it funny that "dumb ol'" G.W. Bush attended Harvard AND Yale if my memory serves me correctly.

You know they are always posting "GW is dumb" at the democratic underground but answer me this,
If GWB is so dumb then what does that make the person he beat to win the white house?
If you can get beat by a "dummy" then you must be a stupid mother fucker that can't even tie his own shoe laces.

I don't mind so long as it is based on facts, i.e. - TRUE satire.

...and what jrzy says is true. But then again, remember that Al Gore, the most brilliant carbon-based life form ever to grace the planet Earth with the soles of his feet, had to hire a consultant to tell him what kind of clothes to wear...

I always wondered why saying "nuke-yuh-ler" means GW is an imbecile, but it only meant Carter was a Southerner.

jrzy.....to answer your question...a politician. definition---a meat puppet run by a commitee. If he would just once say something that wasn't scripted, I would be in heaven. I can not stand to hear that man read someone else's speech. He has his own voice and opinions, hell he lived here for a while and occasionally he would act like a real person. Now the only difference between him and AL whore is the identity of the man behind him with his hand up his ass.....

Every time some media putz calls Bush "dumb", it increases his stature, and makes them look like asses. Lets see, this dumb President has..

1. Enacted one of the largest tax cuts in American history.

2. Kicked the shit out of 2 despotic muslim regimes, in the process freeing 40 million people(give or take a few million).

3.Increased his partys' dominance in congress in an off-year election.(unheard of in modern political times.)

4. Resurrected national ballistic missile defense, and moved it toward deployment.

5. Told the U.N. and european socialists, "screw you people, America needs no ones' permission when determining its' national destiny, don't care whether you love me or not." (about 8 years overdue.)

6. Systematically stripped the the dems of every campaign issue in their quiver.(albeit at the cost of government expansion.

Reminds me of another republican dumbass, who brought soviet communism to its' knees.

2. Kicked the shit out of 2 despotic muslim regimes, in the process freeing 40 million people(give or take a few million). And totally missing the one most responsible....

3.Increased his partys' dominance in congress in an off-year election.(unheard of in modern political times.) Still can't get a judge on the bench

4. Resurrected national ballistic missile defense, and moved it toward deployment. While allowing terrorists and foreign nationals to continue to come here and learn to fly or study terror tactics on our dollar..

5. Told the U.N. and european socialists, "screw you people, America needs no ones' permission when determining its' national destiny, don't care whether you love me or not." (about 8 years overdue.) And then going back to England and apologizing for being "so rude"...next on to germany...

Originally said by George W Bush in England:
The second pillar of peace and security in our world is the willingness of free nations, when the last resort arrives, to retain (sic) aggression and evil by force. There are principled objections to the use of force in every generation, and I credit the good motives behind these views.

Here's the whole speech: www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/11/20/1069027220959.html

Please show us the part where he apologizes for being so rude.

3.Increased his partys' dominance in congress in an off-year election.(unheard of in modern political times.) Still can't get a judge on the benchNot his fault. If the "majority" in congress would act like one, enforcing honest-to-God filibusters instead of letting it slide, this would've been taken care of already.

4. Resurrected national ballistic missile defense, and moved it toward deployment. While allowing terrorists and foreign nationals to continue to come here and learn to fly or study terror tactics on our dollar..Apples and oranges. When a mexican re-enters American airspace at mach 18, your argument will have relevance.

And then going back to England and apologizing for being "so rude"...next on to germany...You must have watched a different  speech than I did. John Kerry looks nothing like W.

Are you retarded or just having a bad day?

These shows don't seem to lean one way or the other and it's more of a "flavor of the month" thing.
