Was it a french kiss or a kiss on the cheek?

If it's the latter, they'd have to expell all the girls in Miami. Kissing on the cheek is extremely common down here, even between a father and son.

River Hill administrators said they pride themselves on the school's respect for diversity. Pfeifer said the school has a Gay-Straight Alliance club and a diversity committee of students, teachers and parents. The school recently celebrated National Coming Out Day.

This is local here. They interviewed her on the radio last week. She said she was protesting homophobia AND fulfilling the requirements of a class assignment to do something non-conformist.

She and a classmate stood on the table at lunch and shouted "End homophobia now!". Then proceeded to "make out" with her friend for 15 seconds.

They didn't have her accepting call in questions. I wanted to ask her on the air if everyone who disapproves of homosexual acts if a homophobe? She seemed to insinuate that in the answers to the hosts questions.

Shit, the wildest thing anybody did when I was in High School (mid-70's) was shave his head. That caused a commotion. Now everybody's doing it.

Sooo... what's the big deal?

I graduated in '95 and got suspended for:

1) Stomping on milk cartons, causing a gunshot like sound.
2) same as above, but putting ketchup on my hands and acting like I was shot.
3) wearing ONLY my silk boxers to school on "Pajama day". (ohhh, it was COLD out that day, too...)
4) arguing with a teacher.

and a few other things I wont bring up here.

To boot, if ANYONE was caught kissing in our school, they were suspended.

I don't pity this wannabe lesbo one bit.

Furthermore, I feel a sense of relief that they frowned on this... as opposed to praising her for her efforts at causing a disruption.

I'm glad she got suspended. As a current high school student I can say the public education in this country is shit. Guys and girls get away with this crap all the time. Students go to school to learn, that's it. Unfortunately there is so much other than learning going on in the public education system.

Uh, I already know everything I need to. Could easily take the GED and pass.

HS is 10% schoolwork, 40% athletics and, 50% "other activities".

In High School I used to sit in the cafeteria and kiss girls. If a teacher saw us they'd tell us to "knock it off" but we'd never get suspended.

Once saw two girls kiss in there too, but it was on a dare and only for about 2 seconds.
