March Of Hope www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?style=MUSIC&pid=2262558&cart=165217915 Their album "Felons And Revolutionaries" has a couple good tracks such as "Debonaire" and "Everything Sucks" but is not as strong in my opinion. And the album "Group Therapy" has a couple good ones like "I Am" and "Paranoia." Fore those who already knew about these guys, give me a break I'm old now.  So many new theme songs. |

Your thread on the mix CD got me to download a couple of their songs.. and then I just kept going. Debonaire just started on my playlist.. BTW it was used during the police raids in The Fast and The Furious. I knew I recognized it. Thanks for getting me hooked on Dope

The album Life is almost wall to wall. Die MF Die is the obvious standout but others like "What About" and "Now or Never" immediately grow on you. By the end of the week I'll probably like the rest of the shitty tracks on their other two albums as well. |

This is some awesome stuff! I had never heard of them before, so I just downloaded "Die MF Die" because it sounded so harmless .I believe I will seek out this album tomorrow. |

Can't really get into 'em. Vocalist lacks distinction. Sounds almost like Dave Mustaine pinching a smaller loaf than usual. Pretty standard fare, IMO.
Yeah, Megadeth with a few synths and no guitar solos. That's pretty close. Still, better than a lot of the crap out there.

Ah, subtlety!
Usually, yes. Except when they use muppets in their videos. Then, they rock.
Nah, they're highly formulaic. And some of the lyrics are, well, pretty high school. That doesn't make them bad, though. |

If you like weak muppet music that's your thing. As for High School band, is Die MF Die the only thing you are familiar with? I have a hard time characterizing "What About" and "Slipping Away" as formulaic. |

Let's see. "Slipping Away". A standard time signature. Vocal harmonies in the refrain, intermittent use of the "telephone" filter on said vocals. Heavy riff guitar, that stops suddenly! Same song structure and production values as about a zillion other songs. Same angry guy yelling about stuff. Again, that doesn't make it bad. It's executed perfectly. Just very far from unique. And that song "Crazy" sounds like Nirvana covering a Dokken song, with Mustaine singing lead. Hey now, that is unique! Sorry Steyr, I'm just being an a-hole. Nothing 'tall meant by it. It means fuck-all what I think about any music you enjoy. You supply us with cool guns. So you could love Barry-fucking-Manilow for all I care, and you'd still be a-ok by me. |

Shit, got it in the mail today. Ordered it from half.com, last week. $5 new in shrink wrap.
Took a ride earlier, just to listen to it. 40 degrees out, but I still had to open the windows and crank it up. Kickass! Will be burning several copies for different systems throughout house, garage, and cars. |
