Thank you. I am victim of one his creations.  It finally runs, but I would like a replacement and the SD is intriguing.

Always liked the 9mm AR SD concept but I’m so over the direct blowback operation. You would have a real winner by combining your ported, integral suppressor setup with something like CMMG’s Guard radial delayed system. Now you’ve got the advantage of the AR modularity and ergonomics and a smoother operating system that rivals the much loved MP5 platform.

I'm not sure anyone can make that claim given today's market for MP5 clones, especially from the small US-based shops.

I’ve gotten away from just for fun guns, I either compete with it, hunt with it, or it’s a self defense gun. But that thing is so cool. Anyone else that grew up watching the 80’s and 90’s machine gun action movies or grew playing the original rainbow six game is drooling over that gun right now. That thing is so cool.

I'm the same way, but the MP5SD is exceptional in that regard.

Very awesome platform to convert people over to several things at once:

* Firearms ownership
* Suppressors
* Full Auto

You want to send as many people away saying:

"Why can't I have one of these without jumping through all kinds of stupid hoops?"

Thanks!  That is my boy.

He was 8 or 9 in that vid. He’s 12 now and has gone full bore into the shooting sports - USPSA, 3 gun, and even a run & gun.

We’re figuring out our schedule now to see if we can get him in a nearby sniper challenge match.

I’d like to see it on the Stribog delayed blowack variant... i’m not complaining about cost here, just stating that a $3700 MP5 isn’t a reality for me personally. A $2k Stribog or integral replacement barrel is a lot more likely to happen.

I'm looking at this myself, although I'm leaning to normal barrel with an SD-type can since 300 Whisper has a lot of subsonic ammo for it.

I'd like an Hk33 magazine for 6.5 Grendel, but since the mags are for 5.56, it would be very difficult to do a Grendel.

At least 2 shops have already done a 300 BLK Hk33SD-type blaster.

I get a very strange feeling when I see this:

Mostly RCM parts such as entire bolt group, trunion, barrel,
LSC flat that are rolled in house
And original HK stock

I could very easily build a 33 SD in blackout and could use the same suppressor as the 9mm platform. Not sure how it would handle full power loads but subs wouldn't be a problem at all

That's a good start, does the price listed include the suppressor? If so I think you have the potential to do well with it.

what they want, $3000 for the 2 stamp semi? MP5s are badass, prolly my FAV SMG, but one day someone will explain why a clone is $2000 plus a stamp plus a can. its a stamped sheet, welded, and some steel parts, with some lil rollers in it.

i just made a 4.5" 9mm ar upper, got a magwell block, some $20 metalform mags, and have a $450 ghost M on the way. i threw an SD grip and some 416 sights and it runs all day, for about $1300 including 2 stamps and every part. and get this....the bolt locks open when the mag is empty. amazing!

anyone care to allude the costs involved with an MP5?

MP5 stuff is expensive because the guts are expensive. Not to mention they dont bolt together like a AR15. The hard part with HK9X guns is making them look nice.

The stamped part is actually cheap, I mean the BCG costs more than 2x what a receiver does if youre rolling with German parts.

I honestly think bolt hold open is a largely overrated feature
