there are limits (1 per year or 5 per year) placed on only the rare and desirable models.
those 513t's that sold for $100...i bought two and could have ordered twenty-two for all they care.
garrands and 1903's are basically the same...all except for the most rare/desirable variants.
mic and mi1d garand snipers, for example, are auctioned off...as are the very few and very desirable winchester m75 target rifles that get turned in to the cmp for sale from rotc and jrrotc programs.
those winchester 52d's that sold for $375 are selling for up to and over $600 on the auction boards. with sights added, guys are asking $900-1000.
but, it's not so much about the money as the expirience...this is YOUR government doing YOU firearm-favors. and i hope more of you participate in this program.
