So I'm standing in line to get the wife and me some take out chicken and the place is slammed, a total zoo. Standing behind me in line is a older guy with a very worn NRA black n' gold cap.

As I get up to the counter the cashier begins to ring his up first since it was ready (I ordered a lot more than he did) and the girl behind the counter tells the cashier "He was in line ahead of him."

While I appreciate the general consideration, if he is "ready" and I ain't go ahead. But I took the opportunity to say "Nah, he's ready and besides he looks like a NRA member in good standing so let him go ahead of me."

He noticed my Heckler & Koch CQB Team shirt, tipped his cap and we just grinned at each other. He went ahead of me, paid for his food, and the entire place looked at us like we were two terrorists.

I love doing this crap.

For clarification, 'the wife' was not with me. I only mentioned 'the wife' as a indicator of the larger amount of food I was buying, as oppossed to if I was only getting stuff for me.

'The wife', at the time, was at home on the couch watching TV while her husband was outside in the rain fetching dinner for 'us.'
