Been playing this game for some time. I can't freaking fly for shit. I realize you can use a joystick, but wondered if the game would support a gamepad so you could use the same controller for all aspects of the game. Anyone done it?

There are gamepads that will hook to a PC.  They usually come with software to configure the controls.  Byt joystick is the only way to fly.  Im Major Tom on the Gaming boards.

We need a few good SAW gunners!  Everybody can't fly.  We need guys to drive the HMMWV-TOWs and the mobile artillery.

Joystick is the only way to go.  Most of the gamepads I have seen would not be any more ideal for flying than the keyboard.  The best joysticks utilize a 4th axis for rudder/yaw control.  Helicopters require liberal use of this, and even planes need this for optimal control.

Powerplus here. I get killed a lot, but usually give better than I get. Really just started in the last month online. Learning all the tricks now. Never play above your ping. MOVE. Learn to fly. Pistols suck. Scouts are dead in close quarters. Scouts don't use their Binocs enough. Engineers are under used. More as I come upon them.

Agreed. I've been doing my best to learn the ground units & vehicles. I just hate it when some schmuck jumps into a vehicle & leaves you standing there when you could man the MG or at least get a ride to the action. Idiots. I need to get hooked up with a few like minded guys & play as a team just for grins. I'm sure a group effort would prevail easily over a bunch of individuals.
