I can find no reference to Ted Kennedy having ever served in uniform. Neither does military service automatically confer sainthood.
Ted Kennedy did once hold a job as Assistant District Attorney in Boston. Stepping stone job. He immediately took over John's job as Senator when John Kennedy was elected President. Senators do not have districts, they serve the entire state, in Kennedy's case he serves the state a line of bullshit. Kennedy's greatest vulnerability to losing his office was several years ago when former MA governor Weld ran against him. A lot of Massachusetts voters voted against Weld not because they wanted Kennedy, but because they wanted Weld as governor MORE than they wanted him as senator. Of course they ignored the fact that Weld, a straight shooter, had said that he would not run for another term as Governor and might resign in favor of his Lieutenant governor should he lose the Senate race. So the idiots gave Kennedy the race, probably by the narrowest of margins Kennedy had ever won by. Mitt Romney also launched a fairly good campaign once upon a time, but he was a relative nobody, and couldn't overcome the Kennedy factor. Kennedy is a fat fuck. |
