I got the 512 in a raffle and my GF put it on her rifle. She likes it and we have never had an issue with it. temps from 110 down to 57. It's fallen out of the safe straight onto the hood, I know a short drop, and just a scuff. So far so good after 2 years of use living on that rifle for about 12k rounds so far.

Good for them. I just purchased an EXPS3 and G33. Seems like a really good setup.

You will enjoy the UH-1 just as much if not more. Mine has temps of -15 to 105 and hasn't shifted zero. Not so with my exps3. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

My EOTech was hot garbage, and I've seen two others go down. Fuck EOTechs.
Aimpoint is all that's necessary for a 1X dedicated optic. |

Which model is the go to one these days? I wouldn't mind having an EOTech, but don't have the money to devote to another expensive optic at the moment. I'm happy with my Aimpoint T-1 and love the battery life, size/weight, and durability.

I really thought they would choose something superior, like say back to the carry handle.

Quoted: bEsT wArRiOrS The HK416 is a perfect example. ETA: Did they underbid Aimpoint, do they treat them as consumables, do they use other optics to supplement them, is it a battery issue, are these being used under a specific mission, are they more rugged(lol), institutional inbreeding, preferred reticle. I could go on... Basing anything off of "muh sof" is fucking stupid unless you can answer why. |

Most of my entire deployed units Aimpoint CompM4's went down for battery issues. Some of which kept going down even with fresh batteries, it got to the point they were telling people to keep them off until needed. Me being the only guy with a Eotech, I never had battery issues. But I also had a 512 with lithium AA's. I still use that 512 on my beater AR.

My eotechs are all old and I love them for what I need but do the new ones still kill batteries even when they're turned off?

EEYORETech for the win. I still have one, out of the good 10+ I've owned. Will always have at least 1

I love my Eotech sights as well. They're the absolute best close quarters sights that I have. I don't care what the military is using, I wasn't going to replace any of my Eotech sights. It looks even more interesting now that Eotech is finally debuting a green reticle holosight. Green will be easier to pick up than the current red. Maybe Aimpoint should do the same with their tiny little dot.

That's called an upgrade, not a replacement.
Nice try though. |
