Thanks. I'll be damned if I'm going to spend close to $100 for a f'ng adapter. I'm pretty sure the old phone I'm going to use (HTC Eve 4G LTE) is worth $3-7.

Just dickin' around with my " cheap-o " 17 buck adapter this morning.
I won't go to the range without it now ... it's so much easier to see.
I'll make a sunshade for the screen.
I did figure out how to easily mount the phone to the scope.
1. Lightly tighten adapter ring to eyepiece.
2. Hold the adapter ring, and rotate the phone ( and adapter ) clockwise, and it snugs up pretty well.
Takes about 20 seconds.
Once zoomed out - and the scope is focused - touch the screen, which activates the auto focus on the phone.
This REALLY sharpens the view. It also allows you to re-focus on another point nearby.
My phone is off the cellular network, but I can take pics and vids, and can upload them on my network to another pc or move to YT.
Even this cheap one was well worth it ... It made good use of an outdated phone.
