Beware from where you get advice on who to vote for. The Democratic party is now under investigated for pretending to be a pro-gun orgaization, which gave out voters guides in support of certain anti-gunners. This stems from actions during the 1996 election. It appears that the Democrats illegally funded a $50,000 mailing to almost 150,000 people to declare the Republican candidate, Dick Zimmer, an anti-gunner. "Dick Zimmer would like law- abiding firearms owners to believe that because he is a Republican, he is better than Robert Torricelli," said the one-page mailing. "Not So!", which recommended voting for the Conservative Party candidate..By working with a conservative organization, affilated with the National Rifle Association, the Dems sent this mailing, helping Robert Torricelli to win his Senate seat. In reality, Robert Torricelli was more anti-gun than his opponent, Dick Zimmer. Federal investigators now believe such tactics helped the party win tight races in that year.
Please follow pro-gun voters guides from the NRA, state divisions of the NRA, Gun Owners of America, or the National CCW Reciprocity Foundation. This is the only way gun owners will be sure that their votes will be going to the proper candidate.
