just picked up a FAL l1a1 on a imbel metric reciever. it as all the little extras & is a real smooth shooter. but can use a good refinish to it. so what types have you used & which ones holded up better to abuse then others??

Not for yours but for behind the truck seat gun.I just picked up a Mosin-Nagant.Thoughy Id sand down the stock to remove all oil.Spray it with the textured black(crinkle) paint.The I think ill degrease the metal and use that spray on hammerite paint.Rustolium makes it now.If its as tough as the brush on it shold work pretty good.My Dad used it to paint the underside of his mower.After a full season it would barely be chipped.Also using a #58 mount attached to th rear sight base as a scout mount.Rem,oved bayo and cut barell back to 16" to lighten it up and make handier.
