Wow, that's surprising.

I'd really like to see what that does at ~100 yards with a 11.5 carbine. For someone on a tight budget, it might be a great option for someone who already has a mag or 2 of quality HD ammo.

best part. I laughed.   My rifles cycle steel just fine but that shit is all over the place with accuracy.  Inside of 20 feet? not sure its gonna matter

Well, you have to admit that having a rifle for SHTF or HD that is too prissy to cycle steel cased ammo makes about as much sense as having a "Bug-Out" vehicle that only runs on Premium 93 Octane zero-ethanol gas. After all, that's the type of rifle/carbine this discussion seems to be about.

Thanks.  Good video and review.  But I wonder, did you take more than one data set?  I would be interested in the extreme spread in a box?  Where does a box chrono at plus or minus, as opposed to one shot.

Not meant to be overly critical, just curious.

That's a good point. Only room in the block for 2-3 shots and I want to use that to test different types of ammo, but there's no reason I can't shoot a string over the chrono next time.

Strap some pork ribs and shirt/jacket in front of that gel and do it again. Just to see how it does through that. looks good through the gel.

How would you compare this to their 62gr offerings? I saw the silver bear had less penetration.

I keep 8 mags of 64 gr Gold dot loaded and ready.

I have about 3k of this brown bear 55 gr sp stuff sitting that I shoot for practice alot. Sgammo runs really great prices on it. I've always had better luck with it then Wolf and Tula.

Generally speaking, BB seems to have higher velocities than Wolf...

Same here, except with Fusion MSR (same bullet).

It looks like a good loading to stack deep. Better performance than FMJ, at least.

I find gave an 11.5in anymore, but from my 13.8in the 62grn Silver Bear soft points averaged 2690fps muzzle. OneDrive Excell link here.

Wow. I'm surprised at the performance, might have to take a second look at Brown bear.

Is brown bear like the cheap tula and use steel projectiles that cause barrel wear?

That is actually a lot better terminal performance than many of the loads you see touted as ideal personal defense loads by keyboard commandos and tactical guru wannabes. I'd greatly prefer bullet performance like this compared to the results you'd get from lightweight polymer tip bullets, lightweight hollow points and even many of the 55 grain soft points you see in U.S. made ammunition. For a non-bonded soft point in the 55 grain range, that's about as good as performance gets.

They are steel jacketed. You are unlikely to shoot enough to notice any difference in wear.

Yes but that lucky Gunner test is bullshit. You're only going to see the same results they did by shooting as many rounds as they did in such a short amount of time. My LMT has 19K of steel case through it with multiple two day classes with 800-900 rounds for each class. It still shoots groups within the military spec for a service rifle.

I really enjoy your videos. Great work.

I would love to see you test every one of your rounds out of a 11" or so SBR as well, as many of us run those with suppressors for HD. I know we can extrapolate which you point out in your videos, but photographic evidence is always helpful.

Carry On.

My only suggestion would be to use the extra two or three shots to test the repeatability of the terminal effects.

Considering the quality control of that ammo, that expansion result might change (better or worse).

Given the results I've seen from other Russian soft point on my own channel, I don't expect a big difference.
