I did the below today and this is a thread about the fun of being a parent (or a mentor), nothing more.
The boy is 9, and is minute-of-man at 50 yards with his own rifle, minute-of-man at 100 with my varmint gun. We are working on precision bit by bit. I have to slow him down because he smacks the trigger like a pimp (not good btw) Post kids doing things with you! Just post whatever you are comfortable with on the interwebs PERSEC is important!!1111!!!!!

Kids just need to worry about the safety, discipline and fun of shooting, in that order. Everything else can come later.

10yo niece shooting a 5.56 AR for the first time.

She's a right hander but left eye dominant so she's going to shoot long guns left handed. She's never shot a long gun before and doesn't know the difference. She's got two sisters who I'm making gun crazy along with her.

I only have one child, and he is 11 months old, so I'm limited with his capability... But I'm adding anyway.
Getting a fresh breeze on Lake Michigan  Attached FileAnd this was on our property that used to be my grandfather's. We are putting his memorial here and waiting for a plaque to be made to put on the flat of the rock my son is sitting on, then my grandfather's ashes will be spread here. My son was never able to meet his great grandfather, but we will spend a ton of time spending time doing things that wouldn't have been possible without him.  Attached File |
