It helps to swiftly boot anyone suspicious from the event, but there's nothing stopping fake news from posing individuals is such a way they're implicitly associated with us regardless.

The best to defend from it is to continue growing alternative media and finding ways to discredit and rout around the propaganda issued by the legacy press, by creating/using social media.

Defending against is easy.
Do not support them, do not accept their support, and call them out for the lame ass nut jobs they are.

That is not the problem. The problem is, even if you do that the media will portray them as mainstream conservatives.
Not much you can do about that expect what Trump does, call the media out for being the liars they are.

Publicly disavow their type every chance you get. Hell, if you speak at an event, single them out, ridicule them, make them the boogeyman that everyone can hate.

The fact that these guys are suddenly appearing at every event is not an accident. Exposing them is an opportunity to publicly separate them from the rest of the right.
