My auto darkening welding helmet shut off for a second while I was looking.

They said the sun was supposed to be 3/4 covered here but it looked like only a third of it was covered.

Only thing that I can think of would be that in the low light, your pupils would be dilated more, possibly increasing the damage?

I don't really know, just taking a stab at it.

How bout just looking at the sun period is a stupid idea. But they knew idiots were gonna try to look at it today because it's a"special" day with the eclipse and all. So, they had to warn these said idiots not to look directly st the sun today. Tomorrow = okay. Today = not okay. Who the hell cares about looking at it tomorrow?
