The government has some modicum of control over 60% of the country and in many places it's not saying much.
What the US needs to do is to do something radical: erase the Durand line. Recognize that Pashtunistan can not share the territory of Afghanistan. |

Replacing troops with contractors actually isn't a bad idea IMO. Its an unwinnable war anyways, AFG needs their fucking hands held to get anything done at all, send in contractors and stockpile our troops for WW3.
