-3 for having root in your beer.

+1 for flaming arrows.

ETA  I swear I read root beer the first time through. Don't mind me. Carry on.

Drove through St Joe about 5:30 this morning. No traffic. Currently sitting at Hiawatha KS hoping the clouds go away.

Last week we were in columbia, certain areas looked like they were preparing for quite a few visitors. Yesterday, we saw alot of traffic coming out of illinois heading towards st louis.

Cloud cover'snot too bad right now; kind of a crapshoot for eclipse time, but I'm pretty optimistic after watching the local forecasts.

Yep, the eclipse is suppose to 99.98% at my house and Blue Springs lake is totality for 25 sec. which is 2 miles to the north of me. Was going to get the boat out and see how the fishing was during the eclipse

I am visiting family in Tipton, actually showed up to pick up my son who spends a couple weeks out here every summer with cousins. Decided that the 10th when we were picking him up was too close to the 21 not to ask to stay. Looks good weather wise here!

In Jeff, commute in was not any different from any other Monday, after work commute may be worse.
We do have some thin clouds rolling through right now but nothing that should block viewing.

I got in to my office this morning on the Landing in downtown Saint Louis and traffic was lighter than usual, but there were a large number of out of state plates on the highway... as well as an unusually high number of lane weaving, no turn signal using, borderline reckless speeders.

I figure I'm going to go up to the roof to watch the eclipse.

Leaving for Plattsburg in a hour or so.

Hopefully the weather stays decent.

We got in the car at 0700 to drive to KC.  Then I figured I'd check the forecast just in case.  Looked to be very high overcast...decided not to make the 7+ hour round-trip.  IF it clears up, we'll have 90% totality here.

The commute home (through Jeff and Columbia) was what I was worried about. Luckily work gave us the day off.  I'll be watching the news to see how bad it got.....or how bad it didn't get

Careful in the lake area, there's a big chance today will be used for a lot of revenue generation.

They gave everyone at our office a Moon Pie and a Sunkist.

We should be at 95% or so.  I thought about driving up to the mountains, but I have too much going on, and I figure the traffic won't be fun.

I was planning to be just east of Sibley, near Atherton, on my buddy's farm. Bunch of us were going to shoot some guns and just hang out this afternoon. Looks like it ain't happening unless this storm moves through. Oh well, may just have to go into work on time as usual.

Just arrived in DeSoto where it's supposed to be one of the hotspots for longest totality.  Lots of people along the road charging anywhere from $10-30 for parking.

II planned ahead and went straight to Wal-Mart.  Wide open parking lot with a clear view of the sky.  Hope this works out.

I live in St. Joe. Weather forecasts are rarely correct, unless you can watch storms move across Kansas on radar. Doesn't matter if it's 0% or 80% storms or clouds - you won't know until that minute.

From my deck, clouds to the west and sun to the east.

No traffic yet. The 'big' view party is at Rosecrans Memorial Airport (Reserve AFB), which is accessed from Elwood, KS.

Weather.com for St. Charles says mostly sunny til 1:00. Partly Cloudy til 2:00 then mostly cloudy the rest of the afternoon.

Which of course means the storms should start rolling in anytime now.

Downtown / Arch is NOT in the path of totality, you will miss it.  You gotta get south of Arsenal street to see it.  You're so close you gotta make the drive.
