I am looking for a steering knuckle (spindle)  GM performance part 88958711 . GM national locator showed 4 in a now defunct Saturn dealer in Iowa. The replacement parts guys at the dealer are no help on the phone . Jegs and Summit both showed it but do not have it in stock. Jegs showed one on ebay . Same story not in stock. We have broken 3 of the stock parts. I am open to ideas for a stronger replacement.  Even a modified part from another platform. I would buy a used one as well.

Edited to add . I have called or emailed the first 50 results on google . Most of these places just have reprinted the GM catalog on their websites. The car is an 05 Cobalt SS non supercharged. The stock part is 19303852. I can buy stock ones all day long.

Being that it's for the right side, wouldn't you need a left as well?

Well clearly, but there are alternative ways to find discontinued parts and obviously that method isn't working.

LKQ??

If I searched the correct part, there is a few of them. Not sure if you wanted stock though

They may still have 1 laying around or could give you a lead on one. I remember them having both sides awhile back when I bought my fe5 ion conversion suspension from them way back.

Stock ones are easy to find , My dealer has one on the shelf. We skewed his sales numbers buying 2 in less than a year.

1.  Make your own better design
2.  Make more than you need
3.  Sell to other racers
4.  Profit

Two choice come to mind:

22702779   Aluminum, but beefier than the Cobalt part

18061055   Cast Iron - if you can stand the added unsprung weight.

Was GM making the same or nearly the same performance part with a different number overseas for a model imported here?

This place does not have it . From what they said they are a broker and find parts for you. They are slightly shady sounding on the phone. I have called and emailed probably 40-50 places in various format google searches .

The closest to finding it was GM showed 4 in stock at a defunct Saturn dealer that is now a Toyota dealer in Iowa.
