Nice picture composition, but a little too
dark on the helmut, ammo can, and rifle.
Nice hardwood floors, and the ammo display is
good as you are getting a nice reflection off
the hardwood floor.

Yeah, but what is the photographer really trying to say with his composition?

what is he not trying to say? that is the question. the understatment of the rifle and helmet like hangfire mentioned says it all, this is a photo about peace and love, not hate and war. (Imagine me saying that with a sparkly shirt, fake pink-lensed glasses and sandals you get the picture)

The single helmet appears to represent the solitary rifleman.
Cold sterile hard wood floor and bare white wall, determination.
And the well placed quaintly of ammunition gives a sense of purpose.
A rather dark contrast previews the task at hand.

I’m still working the two ammo cans.

One could represent youth on hold while he is ever vigilant, and the other hope that due to his struggle all others could rest safely.

Very nice symbolism.

The helmet and ammo cans obviously represent the military.

The ammunition in the equalateral triangle  signifies the three branches of government- legislative, executive and judicial. The use ammuntion could be interpreted as the federal government being the entity that provides the arms to the military.

The rifle symbolizes freedom and citizens in possession of coercize force as stated in the 2nd Amendment. The position of the rifle is representative of seperating and balancing power, dividing the military and the government and keeping either entity from gaining a monopoly of authority over the citizens.

Ah, more of the contemporary utilitarian type are you.

I’d say a Remington PSS in .308, 7.62x51mm NATO for you Jarheads.
Scope, Leupold Mrk4 M3
Mounts, Leupold Tactical rings and bases.
Milsurp ammo, hell boy, I don’t know.
The flooring, probably imitation Pergo engineered laminate.
The house keepers name is Emma.
She has 5 sisters.
M4 seem’s to have taken care of that.

To help you out further,
The helmet appears to be standard GI, as do the two ammo cans.
The bipod is a Harris.
And the speed of light is about 186,000 miles per second.

I was thinking the ammo represents us little people and the object in the middle is the only thing that can protect us from the object on the left.
