Oh, those zany teens! Cheeky little devils.
A brawl forced the temporary lockdown of San Francisco’s downtown Westfield Mall Sunday evening and ended with several people being detained, authorities said.
As officers attempted to stop the fighting, they were attacked and assaulted. View Quote |

If I remember right, Westfield is a nice fucking mall, right in the shopping district.

Westfield Mall is near the Oakland bridge. Violence there a coincidence? I think not.
Obviously more baton rouge is needed. |

This is now a very different America, where you have to assess the risks of going certain places before heading out.
Places that were once "safe" or fun are slowly getting taken over as hives of violence. From malls to fast food places, you will notice that normal people are starting to avoid them. In less than 10 years, we will joke about all of these places as we do Chuck E Cheese. There will be "no-go zones" for the civilized people who value their safety. |

Did the media provide any pictures or descriptions of the rowdy youths?

When I lived there SOMA was getting nice, with the food truck market and a lot of new office space. The Ross and Safeway were a disaster though, and this was 8 years ago. The Tenderloin will always be the Tenderloin though. View Quote |

Security at the doors and a policy of nobody under the age of 18 unless accompanied by a parent at all times.
No ID, no enter. With facial recognition software as good as it is these days, keep a up to date trespass database and prosecute if they violate it. If they don't get a handle on this, brick and mortar shopping centers (even high end ones) will be dead in 10 years max. |

Maybe if they started arresting more than 1 person at these things...

View Quote Wellington Greens, located in an upscale area is becoming loaded with a crowd that is majority THUG and folks have been avoiding it resulting in a very large number of empty stores and restaurants. You can go there during the day, but at night or on weekends it is filled with folks that make shoppers feel "uncomfortable". Most of the upscale stores that used to be located there have shut their doors and the replacements are "athletic shoe" stores which abound. You've hit the nail on the head. |
