Chainsaw guys...step in....

I have guys tell me when sharpening the chain, only one direction maybe 3-5 strokes max.  I have seen sharpeners that attach to a dremel.

What is best?

Yup, one direction 3-5 strokes works unless you've hit metal or a rock or something, then you need to grind some off. Make sure the angle is right and you use the same amount of stokes on each tooth. Also, make sure you take the rakers down to the right height as needed.
