VW is bringing back the Microbus, reinvented and battery powered. (Wonder how hard it will be to yank the electric junk and install a Porsche engine.)
VW Microbus reinvented. I like this one best, because Hang Ten dude, ya gotta have boards man. The waves are just gnarly. 
It would be cool as shit. Might even bring back one of my bucket list cars, the Thing. Or a Kubelswagen, I am not picky. Of course, being Arfcom, the only sensible answer is go GET BOTH! |

Honestly, I was never a Hippie.
My parents were not Hippies. I went to the summer of love exhibition at the De Young museum, and the only thing I found particularly interesting about the entire summer of love where the totally awesome concert posters from the bay area. I think that entire culture is otherwise selfishness and human waste. Volkswagens don't particularly mean anything nostalgic to me, they remind me of the Nazi party, my father's 1981 Jetta which did its best to try to kill us, and a dumb liberal girlfriend I used to fuck in college that had a Volkswagen Golf that worked about 20% of the time. |

The name is completely fucking stupid. Very rarely do you hear someone say "F-16 Fighting Falcon", no, it's usually "16, Falcon, or the more common Viper") so calling this thing the I.D. Douche is ridiculous, everyone is just going to call it a "Bus" and be done with it.

The only reason to buy a VW was because they were the only company with diesels in their lineup.
Now with no diesels, there is no reason to buy a VW. Look elsewhere, there are many better options. |

I don't know. I would have to test drive one. With almost 400 hp at each wheel and 0-6 mph in 5 secs...might actually be fun. Also like the 270 mile range.
