I find it odd that a gay flag is flying at the embassy. The so called "Pride" movement is a political movement and support for internal political movements by the United States should not be funded by the government.

I have ridden past the embassy a few times in a taxi, that's as close as I got. Would like to have seen it up close. At the time there were lots of Philippine police or military with armored vehicles stationed in front of it. It originally was the Governors residence when the Philippines was a US territory.
The Philippines is one of those places that can look really cool and exotic in photos, if taken at the right locations, but in real life it is not so much. However I did really enjoy Corregidor and Intramuros. |
