Think War Plan Orange again. We face the same logistical nightmare as did the Japanese in 1941. It's one thing to move a fleet cross an ocean and quite another to keep it there. Refrigerator ships, tankers, ammunition, repair ships, floating dry docks, tugs, lighters, etc. Modernly we can have a lot of our ships serviced in Japan and perhaps even Australia, but the Chinese have the home town advantage.

Do the Chicoms planes detect F17s, B2s, air launched cruise missiles?
At this point I think it's as likely the Chicoms are going to be looking for Nork diesel subs. |
