I can't find in the article but did the "protestors" have a permit to shut the street down? If yes, maybe a good arrest. If no, bad arrest. The fact it says he was arrested but no charges listed means it's probably a bad arrest and they were trying to call their legal advisors to figure out something they could hit him with

the man then turned around and began driving back into the activists before a police officer drew his gun and ordered him to stop.

Never heard of a permit that allows you to impede traffic for a protest.  That said it's San Francisco, protesters are a protected class.

Someone from protest probably called 911 saying they were assaulted....cops stopped the guy based on 911 call. SJW bosses want an arrest.....and are trying to MSU...

Eh If I was him I would sue the police department and or the city for the arrest. The man going the legal speed limit drove a licensed vehicle on a road, then made a LEGAL u-turn. All while police watched protestors illegally blocking traffic and did nothing.

I would be a rich man.

He made a legal u-turn, roads are for vehicles not political protests. He wasn't driving towards the people illegally blocking the road, rather he was just changing course LEGALLY, and was driving LEGALLY on a state road.

Especially in California.

Several levels of "justice" based on social, political, ethnic and immigration status (and sexual preference/identity).

This, kinda reminds me of Zimmerman. I'm on the fence here...

He fucked up in turning around to go back.

But on the other hand, fuck those cockfags who block traffic for their "feelz."

doesn't matter....if they didn't have a permit to shut down a street...which would mean police barricades which I see ZERO of then he can ride down that street all damn day.  The cop that pulled his firearm on him should lose his job.

I would hardly compare this to Zimmerman, but I get your thought.

His turning around and going back through the protestors...without hitting or injuring any of them...is as much his right of protest as is their ridiculous illegal act of protest blocking a tax payer funded transportation route...assuming they didn't have a legal permit.

But let's face it...it's California.  The application of logic, reason, common sense, and rule of law are suspended for crazed liberals.  It's the rule of "feelz" and in-your-face-liberalism that takes precedence over all else.

San Fran protesters are a protected class.

Laws are for little people.

If you lay down on a road or street and get ran over it is the protesters fault.

arrested for what?  Riding his bike on a street?  Seriously think about what you're typing.

If these protesters didn't have a permit the dude should sue the police...hell he should sue them anyways because if they had a permit to block the roads then the police should have blocked it off with patrol cars and whatever else they have.

...there's a reason zero charges have been filed, the police fucked up and they know it.  In fact the only thing i see being filed anytime soon is against the police.

Looks like a business district (>50% of buildings on street), so U-turns are illegal (in California).

Wrong way down a one way street.

Driving thru protesters at a dangerous rate of speed - reckless endangerment.

Turning around to do it again - stupid, reckless endangerment.

That guy was looking for trouble and he found it.

P.S. - I have no sympathy for the "protestors" or their cause, NONE!  In fact, I think the system they favor should be dismantled.

Right. It's a crazy world we live in when an insane zealot can try and throw someone from their legally licensed vehicle and not get arrested, but you can get arrested for driving NEAR people who are breaking the law and impeding your right of way.

Yes he was intent on being disruptive, Revving the engine etc... OK I'm fine with that, the Video doesn't show him turning around but it is in the text... did it happen? I don't know wasn't there...

Of course the only statement is from the protest organizer. and for Christ sake! it was a DIE IN... WTF?
