I know wheels when it comes to cars, brands like volk racing, hre, bbs etc are the good ones. They're pricey but the quality shows.

However I'm clueless when it comes to truck wheels. There are so many brands and differing opinions on what's good and what's not. Most look pretty lame imo. I need new wheels and tires for my tundra, but don't want to be rolling on some bullshit because i was ill informed.

So who are the volk and bbs equivalents in the truck world?

Alcoa , Then everything else . Avoid Chinese cast wheels which are popular

This.

Looks like Alcoa is basically out of the light truck wheel market.
That is what I have on my Toyota 4x4. They are over 20 years old, I have not been nice to them yet they are still good to go.

IIRC, Volk does make truck wheels

What happens when you mess up one of those fancy rims? Will you be able to find another?

I like to find the best looking oem wheels that fit my ride then I go buy 4 or 5. You can all ways find others later on.

For a Tundra the oem TRD Pro, pretty much every after market will be egg shaped unless you shell out about $400.00 plus per wheel.

I really wanted those for my magnetic f250 but they weren't available yet. I'm now on my second set of BMF/SOTA Novakanes. If you can wait a while American Force. If not SOTA or Method. My wife has Fuels, they are ok. She had XDs on her last van. For the money they aren't bad but don't like the center caps on most of the Fuels, including hers.
SOTA Novakanes

Fuel Mavericks

XD Hoss 18x9

There you have it our bro dozer and mommy dozers. If I had patience American Force would be the first choice.

ETAsk @4Truck what kit is that? Tire/wheel size?

For a Tundra? Toyota TRD Rock Warriors are what you seek. Now that the TRD Rock Warrior Edition is out of production I think they just call them TRD 17" Forged Wheels.

Carli 2.5" backcountry.  35-1250, 20x9 wheels. Ran Novakanes on my Duramax, they're awesome wheels.

we have used a steel wheel builder for years to custom build what ever we wanted for our buggies..great stuff, but they have pretty much quit doing anything but "stock" type/size rims..we are searching for a new builder, but no luck yet.....

'13 Rock Warrior into a '16 TRD Pro

If you do get the RW wheels new take off the bead lock ring, it just captures dirt and scratches the hell out of the finish.
I had 85k on these tires at trade in, still had good tread.

Prefer the PRO wheels myself. They have not been this clean in a long time.
Going with K02 or Ridge Grapplers in about 15k
