If it's a slow mover that could be bad news for Louisiana considering they are at virtual sea level.
I've seen those slow moving tropical systems dump 20" of rain in 2-3 days.

This is the track I have been seeing.
Landfall is projected for the middle Texas coast on Thursday as a tropical depression with winds up to 35 mph.

Meh, I'm not worried about this one.  If my house didn't flood in August, then I don't think it ever will.  That was 30"+ of rain in 3 days.

Are they even going to evacuate the rig?  Doesn't look like this storm is going to amount to much.

Ain't this the friggin truth! I'm worried about losing Pecan trees now. All the rain of the past 2 weeks has the ground saturated. More rain and just a little wind is gonna take em down. Hope I'm wrong though.

Nope, they flew in a few non-essentials, most everyone will be riding it out. Some of the rigs in the area are evacuated.

Meh, I'll grab a case of bottled water to top off the supplies. Maybe check the charcoal/ grillin shit status.

Other than that, meh, maybe grab some extra booze; but I doubt it will be much. We are Cajun, we practically breath underwater.

Either way, this is a tag.

They "don't care" because by the time they get here, we done did all the good shit they want to do to be called heros for.

We have the Cajun Navy, who the fuck is FEMA again?

Yep.  If everyone would have waited for FEMA last August, there would have been a lot of dead people.  Hundreds at the very least.

Where's this map/prediction coming from? Everything out there right now shows a LA to FL possibility, nothing in Texas.

I hope you are right.  All I know is my home flooded last August for the first time (built in the mid-eighties).  I also live in an area exploding with development and all the concrete (regardless of how they try to deny it) is seriously affecting drainage.  I'm not wanting to go through that shit again.

This thing was originally aimed for the Florida panhandle now it keeps moving westward for landfall...

Wind damage not so much but this thing is a rainmaker so flooding in Houston will occur.
