Is the material it's made from a matter of record on the transfer forms? Not that it'd be legal, but if a duplicate were to be made from steel, and the aluminum one destroyed, would anyone really know?

That necklace picture is the Fleming guy and those are Fleming HK Sears. I think specifically that picture is the son that now runs the place. I know they have a bunch of transferable Sears that they have held onto all these years so those are all transferable. If you look closely, those are serial numbers 1 through 15. They sold one of their low serial number sears or at least had it up for sale maybe a couple years ago but it was a much higher serial number so who knows how many they really have

Had no idea they were up to those prices. I prefer the third hole approach myself but I guess there is some value in being able to move it around between guns. If I was going to drop a bunch of coin on one I'd go for the steel body for sure. As much as my M16 lower is worth, I almost wish it was made of steel.
