The spa/hot tub deck, made of pressure treated wood, has black mold or something on it.  I'd like to remove this mold, clean the wood and then do what is needed to protect the wood.  The mold has been getting worse for a few years.  I'm looking for methods that don't harm the pressure treated wood.  I have read babble stating that chlorine bleach should not be used.  I did try mild chlorine bleach and Dawn on the wood, it had no effect.

What do you recommend?  How do you do this sort of thing?

This stuff really works. Your deck will continue to look even better for a week or so after you're finished. Like cleaner than when you were done washing it.

Just follow the instructions.

I scrubbed my deck with a brush while it was wet since it was getting pretty bad. Pressure washing every year just wasn't getting the green slime off it and it was getting progressively worse. I am so glad I found this stuff.

Pressure wash.

Seal with water sealant.

You know what's cheaper and probably works better?

Going to the Dollar Store and buying bleach.

Pressure washer, let it dry, then paint it or use some kind of stain and seal product.

Repeat as needed.

TSP and water solution to wash.

Pressure wash. After it dries any mold/fungus treatment from Home Depot thats non staining. Then after that dries seal it with a couple coats. I had to deal with this in Oregon where the mold is rampant.
