I stopped watching gore a few years ago. Unfortunately today I watched it, nothing good comes out of it for me. Just fucked up my day and now feel anxiety and mild sadness. Any way to come over it, I know it cannot be unseen.
FYI: Just a young guy captured hacked to death with a machete by some guerrilla soldiers and head chopped off. |
|
I dont watch shit like that anymore either. What's the point?
|
|
The internet has numbed me to the visual representation of Man's inhumanity to man.
The first time I saw a jihadist beheading a prisoner I was so shaken up that I couldn't sleep. Now, I watched that girl in Costa Rica get burned to death for stealing and then went and microwaved a burrito. |
|
The only one that really stuck with me was Dagestan Massacre. Not sure why.
Best remedy is to accept that the shit really happens around the world every day. |
|
I dont need to watch suffering to know it exists.
I think watching crap like that does things to you, things i dont want to experience. I dont want to be able to watch humans suffer and not be messed up by it. So i never watch that crap. |

i do random binge-watches at zerocensorship, funker and liveleak. i also randomly binge-watch cartoons and funny vids at youtube, cartoon network, etc. there's educational and entertainment available at either end of the spectrum, if you want it. if the "gore" stuff messes with your head, just don't watch it. before the net became the net, we used to go to the video stores to rent "the faces of death", to see "gore", even tough a lot of the scenes were likely faked, or mislabeled. we'd also get the latest comedies, for laughs. i try to keep it balanced, when possible. again, if the shit bothers you, just don't watch it.

Some things bother me while others don't.
I can watch an accident victim bleed out without much feeling towords it as its an everyday thing that no one but fate had any say in. Same for a robber getting shot or a jihadi getting shot in a war zone. Beheadings and people hurting animals are different for me though, can't abide by nor stomach that. |

I also can't bear to read the details on kids that are abused or tortured before being murdered.. those fill me with sadness for a few days. It's a fucked up world we live in. |

There is watching it in videos... then there is seeing it in real life.
evil exists! |

Maybe I'm messed up because it has never bothered me
The only things that get me are cringey stuff, like slow paper cuts |

Believe it or not, when I get stressed, sometimes I go look at funny pet pics or videos. I can't do gore. Life is hard hard enough without filling my mind with Yeccch!. Generally, I don't watch them anymore (for about a decade now). Having said that, I have watched them before, and I'm glad I did. They have served to anchor certain convictions.

Alot of funny puppy and cat videos. Maybe some real good stand up comedy. Humor is the best way.

The poor old guy in Cleveland a few days ago tore me to pieces.

I can watch humans suffer and not be messed up by it. It doesn't make me insensitive or sociopathic or anything. I don't think it would make you bad either, if you got to where you could watch them too. It's fine that you don't want to, but I wouldn't worry about folks that aren't touched by videos. If you are shaken up by that try watching the full 20-minute compilation of 3 guys 1 hammer. Or the Dagestan conscript beheading video. Or the ISIS ambush of a syrian convoy in the desert where all the surviving soldiers try and hide in a drainage pipe.

I've watched the Dagestan massacre, the old man in Cleveland, the cartel defacing video, 3 guys 1 hammer, LOTS of shit.
Didn't particularly bother me but not something I wish to see again. Like others have said it's the sounds that disturbed me. Especially beheadings |
|
I stopped watching that stuff when the video of Daniel Pearl first surfaced. I have no need to see people die.

The world is a cruel place, for every living thing.
What's the point of sticking your head in the sand? Then again, liberal MSM makes me sick. Also, Bot fly and MRSA videos make me queasy. So, I don't watch them. Maybe you could try that? Just don't watch it? |

Never watched the man - just a typical libtard; fortunately old Al is no longer in the public eye.
