This is GD, only a $500 PSA will do. Anything else is overkill and a waste of training funds.

*I'd get a Daniel Defense for that price.

I would call it a fair price. There is nothing wrong with a Sig. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise

The cheapest I have seen is $1100, but I am not in the know as much as a lot of guys here.

My 516 is 10.5" and it's one of my favorite rifles. I swapped out the rails for carbon-fiber handguards. Good shooter too, if I can wrestle it away from my son (he's fallen in love with my MPX so it's a little easier these days).

Mine probably has 3K rounds through it and I honestly can't remember a single failure (I'm not saying it's never had a FTF/FTE, but I can't remember a single occurrence off the top of my head). Only issue is that it's pretty loud unsupressed (so I only shoot it with a can).

I haven't mistreated mine, but haven't babied it either. If I had to carry a rifle with me everywhere I went and figured I might have to use it, that would be the one I'd choose.

Ive always thought the 7.62 versions were a decent bargain. Probably underrated as they are caught between budget .308s like the DPMS/Armalites and the high-ends starting w/the MWS.

I like the 7.62 as well. Sig usually makes a decent gun. If the guy wants to spend 1250 on a Sig 516 go for it. It is his money. If that is what he wants who am I to tell him otherwise. It will be reliable that is for sure

Lol, why? You can buy a 70$ lower and BCM upper, and whatever furniture for less than $1200, probably less than $1100.

I only clean my ARs every few hundred rounds and even then it's just a ten minute quick scrub. That white glove bullshit is a waste of time.

That is pretty much what I do. One day, I will get an ultrasonic cleaner and clean my shit like a bad ass. A cheap solvent tank would be cool too

my 716 is a solid rifle.

I was looking at 516s a few years back, when I got the 716.
I wouldn't have paid $1250 for one then or now.
