I have hundreds of these things that I used to use in my business.
I can't imagine anyone actually using them for anything with all the new storage tech. Is there a market for selling them, or are they trash? |

Also, Sony Mavica 85s that used the above mentioned 3.5" floppies.

In Office, the save icon is a 3.5 floppy. Ask today's generation what that symbol is and they'll say "save" -- which is correct. But ask them what it actually is and they'll look at you blankly.

We still use them for some ancient CNC machines.
Toss them, many will probably will have read/write issues. |

The good ol' floppy disk. Here I am 25 years later still trying to wrap my head around the fact that MicroSD cards go as high as 256GB these days.

Use them for targets. I've used CD/DVDs too. A mess to clean up though.

Key ring for those keys you don't want someone to accidentally forget they have in their pocket... You know, the ones you need and have to drive 30 miles to fetch because they're going out of town tomorrow for a week...

5 1\4" AND our phone system at work was backed up on 8" floppies.
Still have a few somewhere. |

I used one for a visible light filter for making an eye tracking camera.
Other than that they are not worth anything |

Send me a PM. |

I remember always getting those AOL free 10 hours disks. Erased them and reused them.
Threw them all out when I moved. I had a drive in my old computer but it died so it pulled it and trashed it too. |

I remember a time standing in the government supply center with my supervisor - you could get individual single sided 5 1/4" floppy disks or you could buy a box.
So I ask "which should we get?" His response was why would anyone ever need to store that much data? Ah, computing in the '80s. |

I still have boxes of ZIP disks and SyQuest cartridges.
So much unreadable data... |

No laser disks OR dick pics.
Sorry to disappoint!!! You would not be impressed. |

I still have several hundred (thousand?) 3.5 and 5.25 disks stuffed in boxed around the office. There might even be some 8" hiding somewhere. I need to see how many it takes to stop a rifle round or something cool.

as nammah pointed out it was either going to be peen or boobs. 50/50 are good odds. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |
