Can't tell. Pattern looks similar. But head I can't tell. Looks long and skinny thought copperhead where stubby looking

Looks like one to me without looking for pics to verify. Triangular head. If not its got a decently close pattern.
Also looks young. If thats a spider glue trap than its what....10 inches long?
Judging by the picture I would say yes. Need a better pic but I would say it has all the characteristics of a copperhead.
Not a copperhead.
Rat snake or something similar. If you can free it without killing it they are good snakes to have around the house. |
The v on the head makes me think corn snake. Did he eat the mouse on the glue trap?
Most definitely not a copperhead. Looks like a corn snake at a glance. Free that little guy and let him do his job.
No.
It is close enough that I would have shot first and asked questions later. |
Scales underneath tail are a good indicator. Double row vs single row. Wiki is your friend.

Corn snake.
Often mistaken and killed by people thinking they are copperheads. |
Head isn't right, a Viper head is very triangular and muscular looking. I agree with some, looks like a corn snake.

Looks like a juvenile rat snake.
A copperhead that size would still have a yellow tipped tail. |
No.
Even very young copperheads have a VERY pronounced triangular head. |
That's a diamondback copperheaded rattlesnake. You can tell by how it is. Neat.

View Quote The pattern is somewhat similar, but the head doesn't look right for one. I agree with the people who say it's a rat snake. Good little fellow to have around, keeps the vermin run off. |

It's a juvenile rat snake guys. Not a copperhead. Not poisonous.
Looks like he just ate. Warm soapy water and free him. He is there because you have a rodent infestation which is evident by the glue trap. |
How would you get him off that sticky trap without pulling his skin or scales off? Soapy water? I doubt he would like mineral spirits much. Or are these trap things not that tacky?

That's a rat snake, he's like your very own pest control, let him go.

Round eye ball not venomous. Cat eye (Viper) venomous. At least for US states,
