I've always read they sucked at getting products out the door, but how slow are they, exactly?

I'm about to order a Shield 9mm and the rebate ends in about a month.

Edit: Bud's is $10 more. Are they notably faster?

Yes, but the topic is generally that "they suck." I need to know precisely how much they suck to determine if I can make the rebate deadline.

I've ordered from both and Bud's is worth the $10 difference. Very fast shipping on handguns. PSA could go either way, but they're generally not responsive to inquiries when they are slow, leaving you wondering what's going on with your order.

My upper hasn't shipped and it's been 10 days. They shipped the bolt and charging handle out 5 days after.

I've usually received my orders reasonably quickly.

Usually, not always; but I've never had to wait an inordinately long amount of time.

Sometimes I get my stuff in three weeks. Sometimes it shows up in three days. Just be patient and it'll get to you.

Every order prior from PSA was at my door or FFL in about a weeks time or less. Now this Shield 9mm order is taking considerably longer, I ordered on 4/8, it didn't ship till 4/15, it's 2 day shipping so I should have it by the end of the week. I'm sure they were just overwhelmed. O well I'm in no rush

Buds has always been great for me. Usually gun in hand in under a week. When I first placed my Shield order it was a $20 difference, now it's $10. The first thing I did was compare buds price

My three orders were shipped within two days.

One of the three orders was missing a part. Took close to three weeks for shipment of missing item.

I like PSA.

At heavy volume times, if ordering a PSA built product (upper, complete lower, etc.) I expect a week or two of delay.

For resale items they are pretty quick.

I ordered a shield from them on a sunday and had it in my possession the next saturday. My guy had it in 4 days from the time I ordered and I am about as far from NC as you can get.

Let's use an analogy.

If PSA had the same thing in as a small mom and pop in China, and the postage would be from a one man row boat over the Atlantic and delivered the last few hundred miles by a limp three legged goat....

I would bet on the one man row boat.

OK so not that bad, but their shipping is the reason why I have shopped elsewhere in the past. I think you'll be ok with a pistol since they seem to ship those out much faster.

Rebate is from the date of purchase not delivery.

I ordered an upper earlier this month it shipped next day.

IME they ship FFL items quickly but may have a delay right now I think it said up to 10 days. The rebate is good through June 1 isn't it? You'll definitely get it way before that

Ordered 9mm Shield no safety 4/3 picked up 4/13. The order/shipping tracking was updated from processing to delivered about 6 hours after I picked it up from lgs.

Edit: Purchase must be between April 1 - June 30 and postmarked by July 31. Got plenty of time
