Very funny...

You just listed my two faves, steyrgirl, along with godzilla.

My dad bought the tape, but then, he's responsible for most of my love of classic rock, rather than this modern pop junk they play.

Give me time

To realise my crime

Let me love and steal
I have danced
Inside your eyes
How can I be real

Do you really want to hurt me
Do you really want to
Make me cry
Precious kisses
Words that burn me
Lovers never ask you why
In my heart
The fires burning
Choose my clour
Find a star
Precious people always tell me
That's a step
A step too far

*Do you really want to hurt me
Do you really want to
Make me cry
Do you really want to hurt me
Do you really want to
Make me cry

Words are few
I have spoken
I could waste a thousand years
Wrapped in sorrow
Words are token
Come inside/and catch my tears
You've been talking
But believe me

If it's true
You do not know
This boy loves without a reason
I'm prepared
To let you go

If it's love you want from me
Then take it away
Everything is not what you see
It's over again

Sex Dwarf by Soft Cell

Isn't it nice
Sugar and spice
Luring disco dollies
To a life of vice
I could make a film
And make you my star
You'd be a natural
The way you are
I would like you on
A long black leash
I would parade you
Down the high street
You've got the attraction
You've got the pulling power
Walk my little doggy
Walk my little sex dwarf
We could make a scene
We'd be a team
Making the headlines
Sounds like a dream
When we hit the floor
You just watch them move aside
We will take them
For a ride of rides
They all love your
Miniature ways
You know what they say
About small boys

I'm in my Rolls Royce
Look it's so huge
It's big and it's gold
With my dumb chauffeur
Looking to procure
Run little doggy
Lure a disco dolly
Run my little sex dwarf
I feel so lonely
Get my little camera
Take a pretty picture
Sex dwarf
In a gold Rolls
Making it with the dumb chauffeur

Chorus
Isn't it nice
Sugar and spice
Luring disco dollies
To a life of vice
Sex dwarf
Isn't it nice
Luring disco dollies to a life of vice

We could make an outfit
For my little sex dwarf
To match the gold Rolls
And my dumb chauffeur
We'll all look so good
We'll knock 'em cold
Knocking 'em cold
In black and gold

We can have playtime
In my little playroom
Disco dollies
My sex dwarf
And my dumb chauffeur
I would like you on a long black lead
You can bring me all the things I need

Sex dwarf
Chorus
Isn't it nice
Luring disco dollies to a life of vice
Isn't it nice
Sugar and spice
Luring disco dollies to a life of vice

I hear it was a remake of an old Motown song.

They were very popular when I was in highschool in the late 70's. BOC, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Boston, etc. Great band. Just to let you know where our heads were at in thse days, we used to call it "Don't fear the reefer". Times have changed. :)

I saw Blue Oyster Cult in concert twice in my youth. Both times I had worked my ass off during the day, and was exhausted by show time. Throw in a few beers and... well.. I fell asleep during the intermission after the warm up band. Both times I slept through the whole show, and woke up for the encore. Both times, the encore was Don't Fear The Reaper. Two concerts, one song. Some day maybe I'll hear two songs? [:)]

I gotta say, Blue Oyster Cult has a dynamite sound.  I dig it.  Don't Fear the Reaper could be a big hit, but we need a little more cowbell.

Guess what? I got a FEVER!  And the only prescription....is more cowbell!

Don't mean to get into a pping contest with anyone, but DFTR and BFY are two of BOC's lamest songs. Pure AOR formula pop - yuk. Check out their harder stuff from the earlier albums like Tyranny and Mutation, Dominance and Submission, etc.. They were great live. Listen to "Cities on Flame With Rock 'n Roll", "ETI", "OD'd on Life Itself","Screamin Diz Busters"...That's what I'm on about.

Good stuff! [:D]

PS Buck Dharma lives up the road in Commerce GA I think...Had a friend who jammed with him one time.

Ramblin, I could go for some of that "AOR formula pop" about now.  Our FM stations have become talk-radio without Limbaugh - Yucck!  Hardly music anymore, and then no Metallica!  Oh well.  Do agree however, the best BOC rarely got air play.  BOC BOC,Secret Treaties, Tyranny & Mutation are in my rack.  And oh, the sound from those Paradigm Reference 100s!  Pure heaven...

I like the nice Christian bands like Godsmack:

AND I WONDER, DAY TO DAY
I DON'T LIKE YOU, ANYWAY
I DON'T NEED YOUR, SHIT TODAY
YOU'RE PATHETIC, IN YOUR OWN WAY

I FEEL FOR YOU, BETTER FUCKING GO AWAY
I WILL BEHAVE, BETTER FUCKING GO AWAY

I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID
I'M DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN
I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID

I DON'T NEED TO, FANTASIZE
YOU ARE MY PET, ALL THE TIME
I DON'T MIND IF, YOU GO BLIND
YOU GET, WHAT YOU GET, UNTIL YOU'RE THROUGH WITH MY LIFE

I FEEL FOR YOU, BETTER FUCKING GO AWAY!
I WILL BEHAVE, YOU BETTER GO AWAY
I FEEL FOR YOU, BETTER FUCKING GO AWAY!
I WILL BEHAVE, YOU BETTER GO AWAY

I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID
I'M DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN [2x]
I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID
NOW, GO AWAY

I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID, GO AWAY!
I'M DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN, GO AWAY!
I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID, GO AWAY!
I'M DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN, GO AWAY!

I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID
I'M DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN [3x]
I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID
NOW, GO AWAY

YEAH! (yeah!) [3x]

I'M DOING THE BEST I EVER DID (go away)
I'M DOING THE BEST THAT I CAN

wow you guys are still talkin about this. i never heard of those other boc ones, except for godzilla. i just get into retro 80s music. anyone remember drivers seat by sniff-n-the tears? i'd just rather listen to the older stuff. most of what is out today is so boring. except for kid rock, i know you guys probably hate him. he just reminds me of my guy.

Actually Steyrgirl, as opposed to some other so called entertainers........Kid Rock is pretty cool.

I have only heard a little of his music but it does have a good nerasty sound to it.

BTW.............my earlier post was from  BOC's "Career Of Evil".

I was not trying to make a pass at ya......................but if you could post a pic.............................................................................................................................................

I was into BOC back in the day, but I just went out a reviewed the lyrics from their albums (yes albums) I have and hardly remember any of it.

In addtion to Reaper and Po Po Godzilla, I did like Golden Age of Leather.

I saw these guys a little past their prime when they did the Black and Blue tour with Black Sabbath.

I like to listen to the old stuff once in a while but I haven't yet gotten "trapped" in an musical genre like most of my friends.

I like Kid Rock OK, but Everlast is way better.  Matchbox 20, Counting Crows,  and a bunch of others are all making good music today.

Edited cause I kaint splel

Ice, remember when movies and music didn't need the F-word every 60 seconds?  Me neither.
Leadfly - Foghat played Laughlin last weekend to thousands of leather-clad Hog riders.
There's no such thing as dated music, unless you're DJ.  I collect Blues, Swing and Jazz back to the early '30s and have all the Pantera and Zombie releases.  My current favorite:  Frank Sinatra.  Go figure...
