The Shootist. The movie was filmed where I live in Douglas County,NV. The opening scene, with the bandit that tries to steal his wallet shows what a great view we have here. And, it's land that was graced with the presence of the Duke himself.

Umm....John Wayne wasn't IN "Bullit". He did two "modern day" detective story type movies, "McQ" (where he used a Colt revolver [Python I think], a .45 automatic, and a suppressed Mac-10), and I cannot remember the name of the other one, but he goes to England to pick up a prisoner for extradition. Colt Diamondback in that one, for sure. Takes out a hit man driving a Jag XKE using it.

"Branigan" is the one with the Colt Diamondback, 4" barrel, blue, .38spec. The hitman in the Jag had a Mauser machine pistol.
