I would think that is fairly current for a laptop, correct me if i'm wrong.
The laptops i'm most familiar with are Macs. That should be nice though! |

Timeport- Yep, came with docking station and 17" monitor for office use. The thing is so thin even with the docking station attached, I think I'm just going to carry the whole thing around as a unit. I didn't even realize it before, but the cd reader in the docking station is a DVD player. Just spent a few minutes checking it out with "The Matrix". VERY cool!
hicap - I have a poster of the SOPMOD M4 system as a backdrop on all my PC's!! Duffypoo - you would like it - compared to 1.7 Ghz, this thing is running backwards. misterhemi - When are you gonna take me for a ride in your funnycar??? [8D] |

I have a Dell Latitude PIII 700mhz, 384ram, 10gig, DVD. I got tired of bulky desktops. |

I like my Dell Inspiron 5000, PIII 650MHz, running Win2000P. Apple makes beautiful computers, and its user interface, Mac OS 9.1 (or before that) and especially OS X is very well done, but that's about it. PPC still hasn't reached 1GHz and Apple's customer support stinks. The PowerBook G4 is very nice indeed, but too much thought went into its looks and not enough into its functionalities, it's so thin it flexes when picked up by one end, the titanium alloy case scratches easy, the "mega wide" LCD only does 1152x768, my Dell has a native resolution of 1400x1050, there's an option for a 1600x1200 LCD, OS X is slow as crap for a BSD kernel OS, I won't buy another Mac for a long time.

Well, I AM an E.E., but I don't claim to know all there is to know about net stuff, like that payload pyramid thingy you guys had to learn about. Well, actually I did learn about it too, but it was a long time ago and I haven't used any of that info since I took the class. To me, protocol means dinner on the table when I get home. Not a lot of protocol in my house though... [;)] |
