Use of deadly force is only authorized if you are in fear of your life. That applies to anyone whether it is an LEO or private citizen. If you decide to use deadly force over a rights issue, you're toast. I know there are a lot of assholes in uniform out there. There are a lot of assholes out there in general. If you want to buck up against an LEO, then you get  what you get. Remember, they will get a paid vacation when they kill you. It does not matter if it was justified or not, dead is dead. Personally I do not care for police, but I do not have any problems with them either. They have never done anything for me or against me. Anytime I have had any encounters with an officer they have been mostly professional. If you got a chip on your shoulder when you encounter one, then you are asking for trouble. That is not to say that whatever they are doing is gonna be right, they are human too and will make mistakes. I do believe that because they are LEO's, they should be held to higher standards than the public, which in most cases they are not. Pick your battles carefully my friends, if you go against the system, it will eat you for lunch. Better to keep a low profile and ease your way through life. It is a matter of survival in this day and time.
