It reminds you of fresh apples and marksmanship in your formative years, right? Fresh lemonade, cows, grandma's cookies, and prairie dogs, right? Fun times, huh?

Decades ago, the IDF realized that it was the right weapon for faggots who simply don't know when to back off. If beanbags don't work, then the Ruger 10/22 is deployed before a target gets bodied by a larger caliber weapon.

It's the intermediary between non-lethal force and imminent death. When applied properly, the Ruger 10/22 is capable of heartfelt, stinging reminders that it's not to be fucked with. Once fully tested, it's completely capable of ruining someone's shit.

To date, it's the only .22LR rifle used outside of a training capacity by a military.

There was a rumor that the idf had a 50 necked down to 22 that they used for this job.

Read about that in a book called Fry the Brain. I think your brain is sufficiently fried.

Not definitive proof but I think someone wrote a book about suppressed weapons in Vietnam.  I think the silver bar on the bottom rifle was a bolt lock.

No, .22's were in common use as far back as WWII. The High Standard and Colt Woodsman for example.  Vietnam saw several versions of  .22 rifles, mostly Remington.

That's the MK22 Hush Puppy, a 9mm S&W M39(?).  But they did use the above mentioned High Standard a lot.

I would love to see a suppressed AR-7!

They caused frequent enough fatalities severing femoral arteries that it either worked really well or poorly, depending upon your POV.

Most likely; the Izzies classify it as a "less-than-lethal" option."But lethal?  Just as good."

Check out Paladin Armory or Google "suppressed AR 7". It is available.  A 10/22 takedown SBR with an integral suppressor or even the venerable Marlin 70PSS "Papoose" suppressed would likely be more durable and reliable options.  With a tuned 22/45 and suppressor, you can make some awesome hits with a light, small package.

I've seen it here a good while back. I do believe it was an upper thigh or nut shot, there were more than one being shot.

I love the 10/22. I must have 1/2 dozen of those things around here, but the Marlin Model 60 is a more reliable weapon.

Yes,this was the idea:aim for the thigh. However,as I said a few posts up they ended up killing more than they had planned.
